The Socialist Republic of Vietnam
Vietnam is characterized by the uniqueness and richness of the civilization as well as the cordiality and friendliness of its people. Endless discoveries, exciting surprises and rewarding happiness await our dear visitors.
Vietnam boasts many exceptional attractions inland that must be visited. It is home to several UNESCO World heritage sites such as the Ancient Imperial City of Hue, considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Vietnam. Many palaces and over 100 architectural works reflecting the lives of Kings during the Nguyen reign can be found in this extraordinary site.
Another UNESCO World Heritage site is the Hoi An ancient town. It is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site.
Vietnam also places much importance on traditional festivals and music. Traditional music in Vietnam has many different genres as there over 50 ethnic groups and each has its own traditional culture. The diversity of the ethnic groups is apparent in the many Vietnamese treasures found around the country.
Port City of Ha Long – Quang Ninh
Ha Long City is the central city of Quang Ninh province and is endowed with 1969 beautiful stone islands rising from the sea. UNESCO endorses the premium value of Ha Long Bay by recognising it twice as a World Natural Heritage (first in1994 and again in 2000).
Views from above H? Long Bay have been likened to a painting as a result of the wonderful and skilful strokes of nature which turned thousands of soulless stone islands into fantastic sculptural and artistic works of graceful shapes. Thousands of islands emerging uneven in the distant waves look strong and magnificent but also peaceful. Inside the stone islands are various breath-taking caves, such as Thiên Cung, Ð?u G?, S?ng S?t, Trinh N?, Tam Cung and others.
H? Long is also home to a biodiversity of eco-systems like the mangrove forests, coral reefs and tropical forests. It is also home to thousands of plants and animals, some species which are particularly rare and cannot be found elsewhere.
